Growing company is seeking an experienced tool and die maker!

Duties include but not limited to: Injection mold PM, tool repairs, and machining/ fabricating various components needed for plant operation. Experience with hot runner, valve gates, lathe, mill, surface grinder a plus

• Maintains, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on injection molds to support production requirements of a multi-shift facility.
• Mold trouble shooting, maintenance, and repair to include conventional, two-shot and hot runner tooling.
• Finish tool fitting, grinding, or polishing.
• Manufacture and/or replace tooling components with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy and competency.
• Plan, lay out and perform all bench, machine and finishing operations required to alter and condition intricately designed and constructed plastic injection molding dies and related fixtures.
• Work from special instructions to either maintain or alter molds to achieve improvements to the original design.
• Operate all Toolroom machines.
• Support and adhere to all system procedures and Company policies / procedures.
• Perform other related duties assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience with tool building for Plastics/Molding
• Manual Milling, Grinding, and Polishing Experience
• Hot runner and two-shot tooling experience highly desired
• CNC and/or programming experience preferred.
• Experience in EDM and programming preferred.
• Experience with CNC lathe
• Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, in a related field of study, a four-year university program, in a related field of study, or accrued on-the-job training and experience (5-10 years).
